Ray`s Drive-In in Grand Haven

Super. The nostalgia got me for sure. Cal in for the order and the food is brought out within 10 minutes. Burgers are the best price and crinkle fries are amazing! Classic through and through.

Long wait, greasy food, and never have I ever had French fries so salty! First time and last time!

We visited for the first and last time. It had nothing to do with the long wait as we expected that with working with the curbside ordering options.A "deluxe" burger was nothing more than a regular hamburger on a regular bun with a very very thin piece of meat. With no exaggeration the piece of tomato was thicker than the meat leaving us feeling like we were eating a tomato sandwich. The rootbeer we ordered was delivered as some kind of creamy soda and, with having kids in the car, we requested extra napkins only to receive none.We heard this was the best burger in Grand Haven but it was just an over priced McDonald meal that left us still hungry.

Ray's is a really fun hole-in-the-wall kind of drive-in diner. They always keep the place pretty clean and it is always tasty.Remember to order your burger with everything if you like condiments. I've had too many dry burgers because they don't put on ketchup, mustard, or mayo unless you ask them to.

Its a great little places. Fries and onion petals were wounderful. The burgers are smaller then you typically get these days which isn't bad. Just good to know if you like more meat order a triple. It's still better then a fast food burger. The prices are also great. I just think they could get a better bun. They were dry. But love the atmosphere. Old school.

Dont know all that much about Grand Haven. But i do know its the best Chicken sandwich I've ever had. AMAZING. AND A PRICE THAT CANT BE BEAT

Be prepared to see the thinnest burgers in the world! If you ask for everything, you get onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. The only redeeming quality was the shake. Chocolate was ok. Be sure to ask for napkins if you think you'll need them.

Ended up very ill an hour after eating there, so did my husband. We both had a hamburger. We were fine before we ate.

Mediocre food with high price. Was not impressed. Could of went to a decent restaurant for this. Service not great.

Yummy burgers and shakes. Obviously a popular joint. If you're put off by grease coming through the paper bag then don't bother.

It's pretty good. More of a nostalgia thing but it's not too bad. Burgers are decent but "small" (compared to other fast food places).

Love their burgers and fries and their shakes are bomb too! I love the old style outside diner style.

I was a bit disappointed... I don't go to Grand Haven very often but happened to be driving by and I love going to the small places because they usually have good food at fair prices. I was disappointed here though. The perch sandwich was dry, overcooked and mostly breading. The fries were decent and I got a decent amount of them. I also ordered some coleslaw (and I paid for it) but it was never placed into my bag. I got a Coke to drink and they have the new paper straws (which I dislike, personally) which is great because every little bit helps. However, they are using plastic cups so why did I have to taste paper and have my lips stuck to the straw when there way more plastic in the cup itself... Based on the reviews, my visit was probably a fluke but it was still disappointing none the less. The lady at the counter was very friendly though. Also, there aren't any "meals" so you have to order everything individually. My order totaled over $9 and it just wasn't worth that much to me.

Ray's is a classic in Grand Haven. The milkshakes are nice and thick! A variety of flavors to try. The fries are extra crispy, but super salty. The burger patties are small so a double is like a regular hamburger. They taste good. You can different options to the burger like deluxe or olives. Ray's doesn't have food just sitting and waiting for you. In other words your food is going to take a few minutes.

Burgers are the best! Get onion rings with the boom boom sauce to dip and thank me later. Cod sandwich was great as well!

Went here today with my family! The food was good for an inexpensive price and the food came fairly fast! The person who handed us it was also very nice and efficient. Would go here again, customer service and food was great!

A Grand Haven classic since 1960. Great burgers (make sure to ask for deluxe if you want vegetables,) huge servings of fries, and the best bananna milk shakes I've ever had in my life.

We were hungry and didn't necessarily want fast food but wanted something quick and good. We stumbled upon this place. Prices were excellent for the amount of food you get. The most expensive options were their dinners. I got the Lake Perch dinner which came with 4 big pieces of breaded perch, fries, coleslaw and tarter sauce for $9. They serve burgers as well that started at $2.75!! We all are for $20! Service was super quick! They have 7 specific parking spots...it made it easy to pull up into a spot, call with our order and say what spot we were parked in. About 15 minutes later, the guy brought us out our food, we gave him cash and was on our way!!

First time trying it out, was recommended by a friend, will stop whenever I see one from now on

I really like Rays, it's a small place, made to order. Tons of shake flavors. Onion petals are great. Lunch staff seems much more efficient than evenings. You can get in and out quickly for lunch.

Good burgers and fries for a fair price. Just wish it didn't take as long but otherwise good food.

We were very excited to get burgers, fries, and shakes from Ray’s, but we won’t be back. We parked in the lot and called the number, as instructed, and twice we were hung up on. The third time, we were on hold for more than 30 minutes, and when we called on another phone to see what the hold up was, they were rude to us, insisted we were NOT on hold (even though we let them listen to the hold music on the other phone), and told us it would be another 30-45 minutes before we could get our order. Don’t waste your time or money at a restaurant with rude employees and no desire to help customers.

This is one of my favorite spots to grab a burger, and for the price it might be the best out there. They have the best crinkle cut fries I've had, cut a little thinner than typical so they get nice and crispy. Their shakes go perfectly with the food as well. If you're ever looking for a great treat in Grand Haven, hit up Ray's. They won't disappoint.

I was excited to try them but unfortunately I ended up having a hair in my burger, my boyfriend asked for a double and got a single. The girl who took our order was new and training which was fine but she had a huge hickey on her neck.

So much to love about Rays!!! The food is always amazing. Burgers are fresh and tasty. Fries are always fresh and crispy with just the right amount of salt. Shakes are so delicious here. This is probably my all time favorite burger spot in west Michigan.

You can go in and oder your food and they will get it out fast. The best part about them in my opinion is that they have very tgivk and creamy milkshakes. All of them are amazing. They are good at what they do.

Ray's has the best burgers in Grand Haven and Muskegon if you want a filling meal Ray's is where it's at I can eat two burgers and be full for at least a few hours and not 20 minutes like most of these fast food places

Very quick service. The burger is exactly what I wanted. But the fries were perfect.

I am here on business and like visiting local places when I travel. I was not impressed. I can’t believe this place has been in existence since 1960. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate-vanilla shake. The pattie on the burger is the thinnest I have ever seen. The shake did not taste good and the fries were just okay. Total waste of time and money.
